On December 19th, Mudarasan Kuppusamy, VicePresident of University of Cyberjaya in Malaysia, and his delegation visitedour university. Vice President of Weifang Medical University Cheng Min met withthe delegation and had exchanges with them. Cheng Min warmly welcomed the delegationand briefly introduced the history, educational characteristics, and thedevelopment of international cooperative education of the university. She hopesthat this visit will provide a new opportunity for the two universities todeepen their understanding, engage in friendly consultations, and work togetherto make a positive impact on student training, teacher and student exchanges,and joint scientific research. Mudiarasan Kuppusamy expressed gratitude toWeifang Medical University for its warm reception and introduced University ofCyberjaya. He stated that the two universities shared similar specialties andpreponderant disciplines, and have a wide foundation for cooperation. He looksforward to in-depth exchanges in scientific research cooperation, studentexchange, overseas internships, and other areas. After many productive discussions, the twouniversities reached a consensus on teacher and student visits and exchanges,joint student training, medical research cooperation, and signed a memorandumof cooperation. Both sides will continuously strengthen the base ofcooperation, enrich the cooperative forms, and work together to promote thehigh-quality development of medical education between the two universities. Personnel from the InternationalCooperation and Exchange Office (International Education College), AcademicAffairs Office, and Practical Teaching Management Office participated in themeeting. The University of Cyberjaya was founded in2005 and is a five-star healthcare university in Malaysia. The university hasover 40 majors, covering fields such as medicine, pharmacy, psychology,physical therapy, biomedical engineering, auxiliary medical science, businessmanagement, etc., with a complete range of undergraduate, master’s, anddoctoral programs.
